“Childhood may be playful; that’s the ideal of childhood, anyway, but Lori Markman explores a child’s terror. Her response to a therapist’s suggestion—to explore trauma through art--gives us “I’ve Got My Eye On You!”, Markman’s perspective of her father, rendered in ballpoint strokes that utterly, sharply, [depict] the artist’s memory of pure fear and anguish.”
